Teachers’ professional knowledge and teaching methods play an important role in students’ learning. The school has a strong team of dedicated teachers which graduates from renowned universities in Mainland, Hong Kong and overseas.
Minxin’s teaching is based on scientific and empirical studies, adopting authoritative and research oriented theories of pedagogy. For example, the ‘Visible Learning’ proposed by Australian educator Professor John Hattie, which means an enhanced role for teachers as they become evaluators of their own teaching. According to Professor John Hattie, visible learning and teaching occurs when teachers see learning through the eyes of students and help them become their own teachers. We also adopt the theory of deep learning, and other effective methods from different educators, such as inquiry-based learning, share start stragety, problem-based pedagogy under scafold concept to enable students to learn effectively. Moreover, based on the research findings of the International Society of the Learning Sciences (ISLS), our school combines theory, research, empirical studies and science to make students’ learning in a more scientific way.
