Core T-shaped Curriculum
Our school emphasises deep learning and an immersive bilingual education, integrating Chinese and Western elements. The curriculum focuses on languages, innovation and technology, humanities, physical education, and the arts, creating a horizontal framework. This is complemented by a vertical framework that utilises various approaches, including inquiry-based learning, the Share Start Strategy, self-directed learning, deep learning, innovation-oriented strategies, practice-based approaches, experiential learning, and e-learning, to create a distinctive T-shaped curriculum. This enables students to acquire a broad knowledge base while also gaining an in-depth understanding of each subject through different learning methods, fostering their research skills and nurturing their ability to seek knowledge, innovate, and engage in lifelong learning.

Science & Technology Innovation and Digital Curriculum
Living in the digital age and in line with the developments of the new era and the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the school leverages its advantageous location to collaborate with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and other local and international higher education institutions and organisations. This collaboration focuses on the key development of a school-based STEAM curriculum through a detached, spiral, and whole-school approach, aimed at enhancing students’ abilities in exploration, innovation, communication, collaboration, and organisation. At different stages in primary and secondary education, the curriculum and extracurricular activities incorporate artificial intelligence (AI), big data, financial technology (Fintech), the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and biotechnology, while also fostering students to become outstanding digital citizens.
Cross-curricular and Nature-Inquiry based Curriculum
Our school emphasises teacher collaboration and promotes students’ comprehensive learning abilities through thematic inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary curricula, and a variety of enriching activities. This approach lays a solid foundation for nurturing innovative and versatile talents for the future. The school benefits from a unique natural environment that enhances children’s perceptual awareness. The incorporation of a traditional Chinese medicine garden, a planting area, and an orchard into the natural classroom allows students to experience the laws of nature, the cycles of life, and the beauty of harmonious coexistence. This creates a steady and unhurried learning pace, helping students learn to cherish and be grateful. In this vibrant campus, students at Minxin School can actively strive and aspire to achieve their best.
Values Education and Minxin’s Core Curriculum
Minxin School places great emphasis on students’ character development and values education, aiming to establish their correct values, outlook on life, and worldview. The school has developed a distinctive school-based “Minxin Curriculum” that focuses on four dimensions: knowledge, emotion, intention, and action. This curriculum is designed to nurture students into mature citizens within their personal lives, families, schools, society, the nation, and the world. It cultivates outstanding qualities that foster a broad perspective of “roots in Hong Kong, a heart for China and a global outlook”, enabling students to achieve a brilliant life.
Positive Education and Social Emotional Learning
Positive education applies the principles of positive psychology within the school environment, guiding students towards a fulfilling life. The aim of positive education is to strengthen individuals’ intrinsic abilities by appropriately utilising character strengths and accumulating positive experiences, thereby fostering positive emotions and a sense of happiness. Minxin School is committed to developing students’ growth-driven mindsets and enhancing their social-emotional skills. Key areas of learning include self-awareness, self-management, relationship building, and social awareness, enabling students to adapt to changes in future society, make proactive decisions, and become responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Co-curricular Curriculum
The school values the holistic development of students by exploring their potential, broadening their horizons, enhancing their learning energy, and fostering diverse interests through a variety of activities. Our school offers a range of extracurricular activities and training, which are primarily divided into four main categories: academic, arts and music, sports, and service. These activities provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, enrich their knowledge, form friendships, and increase their sense of achievement and happiness. Furthermore, through volunteer services, students learn the spirit of giving back to society by understanding the principle of “taking from society and giving back to society”.
